Walking

Go by boot …

The humble walking boot's a fantastic mode of transport to take if it you're keen to seek out the best of walking holiday in Cornwall. Quite apart from the beautiful beaches, the coastpath here falls and rises dramatically and offers not only glimpses of seals, kestrels, puffins and peregrines but insights, too, into Cornwall's past of smuggling and shipwrecks.

The National Trust is responsible for much of this most striking stretch of coast and although it's hard to single out any one part over another, you might like in particular to try the walks from Rock to Port Isaac, and Port Isaac to Tintagel. These routes offer some of the finest walking in Cornwall you could find on north coast or south.
