Walking

As life slows to a leisurely holiday pace, appreciate the beauty of our surrounding areas on foot.

Based near the coast, several of our properties offer easy access to the South West Coast Path, which passes through Port Isaac and on to Padstow via Rock. There are also miles of coast and countryside to explore, with many houses leading almost directly onto scenic footpaths.

If you’re staying in Rock, you could take the coastal path from the car park towards St Enodoc Church, the peaceful resting place of the famous poet Sir John Betjeman. To view the full four-mile walk on a map, head over to the Visit Cornwall website.

Paths connect Porthilly Cove, Rock, Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Port Isaac, offering beautiful views of the estuary and local landmarks such as The Rumps and Stepper Point. Stop for a picnic along the way (there’s no shortage of viewpoints), or try one of the many local pubs and cafés.

If you're in need of inspiration, take a look at our journal.
