Nestled on the first floor of this majestic Edwardian townhouse, Tri (three in Cornish), boasts stylish interiors, wooden floors and a Juliet balcony. With nothing standing between you and the ocean, the sea view encompasses the rugged rock formations at Port Gaverne, all the way across to headland at Tintagel.

The open plan living spaces include a sinkable grey corner sofa where you can out your feet up and admire the view. A dining table sits alongside. Here, you can enjoy delicious holiday suppers with a famous Cornish sunset as your backdrop. A sleek kitchen has everything you need for home-from-home cooking including stylish powder blue Smeg appliances. A breakfast bar provides the perfect place to gather and plan the day's adventures with a fresh coffee in hand.

You may never want to tear yourself away from the view from the living room, but for al fresco dining, head to the bottom of the garden and discover a chunky wooden picnic bench with decorative gabion pebble feet. Here you can breathe in the sea-salted air and take in the sea views from a different vantage point. A beautifully planted shingle bed in front of you spills with succulents, grasses, pampas and deep pink hydrangeas. Your very own clapperboard grey beach hut with blue door can be found up the path at the side of the building, providing safe storage for your boards and wetsuits.

As night falls, pad down the corridor and choose from one of two softly carpeted bedrooms. In the master bedroom, prop yourself up on the mountain of pillows on the double bed and share tales of the days gone by. In the morning, feel invigorated with a steamy shower in the master en-suite. The bunk room next door offers a haven for children who will delight in choosing either the double bed below or the single bunk on top. Unwind with some post-beach pampering in the family bathroom and tumble into sumptuous linens for a good night’s sleep.

This is our second time at Tri. Absolutely love the apartment. We wish we could stay longer. Our favourite memory is sitting on the balcony, listening to the sea.
