Appleby enjoys a tranquil position in the quaint Cornish village of Trebetherick. Here you have easy access to a beautiful stretch of the South West Coast Path taking in Rock, Daymer Bay, Greenaway and Polzeath.

Enjoy a peaceful holiday at Appleby away from the crowds but within easy reach of North Cornwall's best beaches and surf.

At Appleby you can leave the car keys at home and get plenty of fresh sea air. Head to Polzeath for a day on the water and choose from bodyboarding, surfing or paddleboarding. Here you can hire everything you need and take lessons from the best in the business. The nearby beach at Daymer Bay is the ideal location for a family day out where you can enjoy beach games, swimming and take in the breathtaking views from the top of Brea Hill.

From Daymer Bay you can walk along to the golden sands at Rock. Stop here for a spot of sunbathing or a lunch with a view. Hop on the sea safari, learn to sail and water-ski or jump on the ferry to explore the picture perfect harbour town of Padstow.

You will have plenty of choice when it comes to evenings out. The Mowhay Café is very close by and provides a vibrant, artistic setting for delicious meals including Mexican Mondays. The St Moritz Hotel is located nearby and is the perfect setting for an evening drink or dinner in the à la carte restaurant. Just down the hill at Polzeath is a fantastic range of restaurants. Enjoy a game of pool or Sunday lunch at the Oyster Catcher or head to Surfside on the beach for the best surf and turf around.

Pop across the road for your morning newspaper or fresh bread for breakfast at Trebetherick Stores. Here you can also pick up gourmet, homemade meals if you want an evening off from cooking.

Walk to the beach

A quiet lane will lead you straight down to the South West Coast Path. Take a left and you will be at Daymer Bay in less than 10 minutes. Head right and choose from the hidden gem of Greenaway beach or walk a little further to Polzeath beach which will take you around fifteen minutes.

We loved the space, light, views, modern design, excellent kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Superb split level accommodation with balcony.
