50° 33′ 21.380″N -4° 55′ 29.970″W

Studded into the side of the iconic green tump of Brea Hill, where rolling green fairways meet soft golden sands and calm estuary waters. Old Brea Coach House offers those through its doors a truly unique experience of life on the North Cornish coast.

Description

Gather your loved ones, two and four-legged friends alike, and discover this enchanted family home. Old Brea Coach House occupies a rare position on the edge of Brea Hill, deliciously sandwiched between the beaches of Daymer Bay and Rock and wrapped up within the renowned St Enodoc Golf Course. A wooden garden gate leads straight onto the side of the hill. Here, you can stroll through the grasses scattered with coastal flowers and take in the breathtaking estuary and sea views from the summit.

A privileged few have reason to drive through the undulating fairways of the golf course, also home to the endearingly crooked spire of St Enodoc Church that rises up from the side of the valley. As you round the corner, a private driveway lined with blue hydrangeas welcomes you. Old Brea Coach House stands ahead, resplendent in white, with powder blue wood finishes and a Cornish slate roof. Tucked back from the road and flanked with mature trees, you can enjoy true privacy here.

Inside, sprawling social spaces provide ample room for all generations to spread out and enjoy quality time together, or relaxing moments apart. A crackling log fire with rustic wooden mantle, takes centre stage in the lounge and here, toes can be warmed after early morning swims, with just the gulls for company. After a day stomping the South West Coastal Path, sink into the sofas in the snug. Bask in the warmth of the window seat with your favourite novel or throw open the doors to the garden.

In the expansive kitchen, a warming Aga exudes cosiness and a boat-inspired feature light hangs above the large island finished in glossy black marble. Daylight pours through the large sash windows that line the social spaces and high ceilings peppered with wooden beams, create a truly impressive space. A long statement dining table sits to the other side of the log fire, providing a stylish backdrop for a decadent breakfast and candlelit suppers.

When eyelids eventually begin to heavy, discover seven blissful bedrooms, each welcoming a deep, dream-filled slumber. Two dreamy en-suite bedrooms on the first floor boast super-king beds elegantly framed in powder grey wrought iron. With seven bathrooms, there will be no queues for morning showers or evening bubble baths.

Outside, landscaped gardens spill out and around the base of Brea Hill. A softly manicured lawn stretches to the front of the property. Sun loungers set around a fire pit provides the setting for evenings swathed in blankets and toasting marshmallows under the clear night's sky. To the back, flower gardens tumble out from the sunny patio, perfect for sunny breakfast's where plans for the day ahead can be hatched.

Beyond the boundaries of Old Brea Coach House, guests can look forward to picnics on the hill, sunrise swims and sublime coastal walks. Old Brea Coach House was created for several generations to kick back and enjoy coastal living.
