Port Isaac has a lovely selection of independent shops to explore, with lots of chances to pick up presents for friends and family. If you're a fan of the TV series Doc Martin, you can even take a guided tour of its filming locations.
In the village, you'll find a collection of pubs bursting with character and restaurants serving the best fresh seafood. For a fine dining experience, head out for dinner at Nathan Outlaw's restaurant, which is located at the top of the hill out of the village.
From Port Isaac you can walk along the coast path to the neighbouring village of Port Gaverne, taking in the sea views on your way. Port Gaverne has a beautiful beach and a fantastic pub serving the best in quality local produce. You can also explore the coastline with Cornish Rock Tors, which offers coasteering and kayaking sessions.
Cribba is a short drive away from the beautiful beaches of Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath. Polzeath has excellent surfing conditions and plenty of places to hire wetsuits and boards or take a lesson. Rock offers a range of water sports including sailing, water skiing and sea safaris, and is also home to St Enodoc Golf Club, where you can enjoy a round of golf in a waterside setting. Daymer Bay makes for a great family beach day out, with its large expanse of sand and calm bathing waters.
