Enjoy sunny days on the sand at Rock beach. Here you can make memories with the family, playing beach games and paddling in the calm waters. Walk the coast path along to Daymer Bay for a picnic or to Polzeath for a bodyboarding session.

Those partial to water sports will be able to take their pick of ways to get in or on the water. The Rock Sailing and Water-skiing club is just down the road from Longships. Head out for a spot of paddleboarding and Prosecco or jump on the Wavehunters Sea Safari and explore the coastline.

Golf lovers will be in their element here as the prestigious St Enodoc golf course is just minutes away as well as the course at The Point. For those looking to spend quality time wave riding then Polzeath is just a short drive away. Here you can hire everything you need and take lessons with one of the quality surf schools there.

For evenings out you can leave the car keys at home and head for a fine dining experience at the nearby Dining Room. For dinner with a view head further down the Rock Road to The Mariners, The Upper Deck or Four Boys Café. For an adventure across the water jump on the ferry or water taxi and enjoy a world class culinary experience at Rick Stein’s Seafood restaurant Or Paul Ainsworth’s No. 6.

Walk to the beach

Join the public footpath which can be found at the end of the lane. This leads you down the hill, through the countryside to Porthilly beach. At low tide you can walk along the sand to Rock beach or head up the hill to join the Rock Road at high tide. Door to sand takes between ten and fifteen minutes.
