On sunny days, the beach is a number one choice for relaxed family outings. Polzeath Beach has seasonal lifeguard cover, a car park, toilets and a café, making it a good choice for parents with children. The seclusion and shelter of Daymer Bay make it a great swimming spot, while nearby Broadagogue Cove and Greenaway Beach (between Daymer Bay and Polzeath) have interesting rock pools to explore.
