Coronavirus - our plans and policies

We are currently open for business as usual but with the school holidays approaching, we have summarised our cancellation policy and options for our clients below.

The safety and wellbeing of staff and guests is our priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued wellbeing.


Our cancellation policy

As we are currently operating as business as usual, our standard booking terms and conditions apply.

Once the initial deposit is paid, the lead booker is liable for the full cost of the holiday as detailed in our terms and conditions which are assented to at the point of booking. This is why we have always recommend that guests take out independent holiday insurance. We would recommend speaking with your insurance provider to see where you stand in regarding to cancellation cover.

The options we can offer guests include:

  • Transferring the booking to friends or family members.
  • We can remarket the holiday (however, we can't guarantee that we will resell the holiday especially in these uncertain times).

Precautions we are taking at properties

In line with current government advice, we continue to encourage that sensible precautions are followed so that the risk of any issues can be minimised. The usual high standard of cleaning will be encouraged, and this will comprise the usual cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces followed by disinfection to further lower the risk of spreading infection.

Particular care will be given to frequently touched surfaces such as key safes, keys, door handles, door knobs, light switches, controls, the back of chairs, bin lids, toilets, taps, sinks and hand basins with both household cleaners and disinfectant. The cleaners have been advised to use disposable gloves and clothing. Hand hygiene and an emphasis upon following the Government’s protocols will be reiterated to all parties.


If you show symptoms whilst staying in a Latitude50 property

Anyone showing symptoms associated with the Coronaviru whilst on holiday (a new continuous cough, breathlessness or high temperature) is now advised to look for information on the NHS website and 111 online and to self-isolate for seven days. Please do not visit the local doctor's practice. In this event of developing these symptoms whilst on holiday, please make Latitude50 immediately aware by calling the office on 01208 869090.
