'Obby 'Oss Festival

Padstow, 01 May

 

Each year the picturesque fishing harbour of Padstow comes alive with the sights and sounds of the ‘Obby ‘Oss. Bunting draped over boats dances in the breeze and merry locals fill the air with the "morning song". Find out more here.

Fisherman's Friends - Platt gigs

Port Isaac - throughout summer

 

The natural amphitheatre of Port Isaac beach provides the back drop to these informal gigs. On Friday nights the Fisherman's Friends gather on the Platt (harbour) to sing the sea shanties that have made them famous. Take a look at the Fisherman's Friends website for more information.

Royal Cornwall Show

Wadebridge, 07, 08 & 09 June

 

The Royal Cornwall Show is one of the biggest events in the Cornish social calendar. This agricultural show has an exciting schedule full of animals, live music, flower shows, riding competitions and much more. For more information click here.

Rock Oyster Festival

Wadebridge, 06 & 07 July

 

Overlooking the Camel Estuary, the Rock Oyster Festival is a celebration of local seafood, art and music. Sample the locally grown Porthilly Oysters whilst listening to local, up-and-coming talent. For the line-up and more information visit the Rock Oyster Festival website.

Padstow to Rock Swim

Padstow, 27 July

 

This scenic charity swim started in the 70's and raises money for Marie Curie. The one-mile course runs from Padstow across the Camel Estuary to Rock. To find out more and how to register to enter click here.

The Point Beer & Music Festival

Polzeath, 27 & 28 July

 

​In its sixth year The Point Beer Festival celebrates locally produced beers and ales. With live music provided by local bands, it's the perfect opportunity to sample Tarquin's Gin, Knightor Wines and of course the ales and beers of St Austell Brewery. 

You can also try your hand at golf and there's a bouncy castle and a circus workshop to keep the little ones entertained

St Endellion Summer Music Festival

St Endellion, 31 July-10 August

 

The 60th summer festival brings together a wide range of musicians from all over the world to perform opera, choral, orchestral, chamber and recital concerts in the intimate atmosphere of St Endellion Church. To find out more visit the website

Camel Sailing Week

Rock, 03 & 17 August

 

The highlight of the sailing year, Junior Camel Week (03-09 August) and Camel Week (17-24 August) are run by Rock Sailing & Water Ski Club. The estuary will be full of sailors from near and far competing in various races throughout the week, making the most of Rock's varied and challenging venue. Boardmasters Surf & Music Festival

Watergate Bay, Newquay, 08-12 August

 

Perched on the cliffs overlooking Watergate Bay, the Boardmasters site is one of the most scenic festival backdrops around. With an action packed line-up of surfing and international music acts, you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere during the day and party into the night as the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean.
