The City of Lights

Each year the cobbled streets of Cornwall's capital come alive with the hum of excitable school children and aglow with an array of fantastically creative lanterns for the annual Truro City of Lights parade. Here are our highlights.

The Truro City of Lights is an event, bound to kick start the year's festivities in the approach to Christmas. Now in its 22nd year, the event was made extra special with a 'Remember' theme marking the 100th anniversary since Armistice Day 1918. Hundreds of school children walked the procession route with their handmade lanterns accompanied by local musicians and dancers.
