Our team live and work in North Cornwall and have collectively tried just about every winter activity on offer. Here, they share their personal favourites...
Pack a thermos and head to the beach
"On a crisp winter's day, don a warm, woolly jumper, pack a blanket and thermos and head to the beach. Find a sheltered spot such as the little inlets along the cliff at Rock beach. Here you can watch the comings and goings of the tide and people watch, with your hands wrapped around a steaming cup of tea - lovely!"

A pub lunch by the fire
"Nothing beats a delicious pub lunch with friends beside a crackling fire. One of my favourite local pubs is the St Tudy Inn. With a log burner and an open fire you are sure to warm up after your morning walk in the Cornish countryside."

A waterside fireworks display
"The Padstow Christmas Festival is an event sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. The fireworks display is always a highlight and if you are staying in Rock, this can be a fantastic vantage point to watch the fireworks over the water. A selection of our Rock properties with balconies provide the perfect front row seat to the display."

Polzeath to Rock with a marshmallow on top
"Get your daily dose of fresh sea air and try the scenic walk from Polzeath to Rock. Follow the footpath that hugs the coastline along past Daymer Bay and on to Rock. Reward yourself with a hot chocolate and marshmallows at the Rock Inn and warm up as you enjoy the views across the estuary."

Cycle the Camel Trail
"Jump on a bike and cycle the Camel Trail. You can either cycle to Padstow and reward yourself with some delicious fish and chips from Rick Stein's take away or try the lesser known route from Wadebridge to Wenford Bridge where you can enjoy some coffee and cake at the Snail's Pace Cafe."

A Christmas dip
"Start a Christmas family tradition and brave the water on Christmas morning. There is nothing more invigorating than an early morning surf or swim which will set you up for the festivities ahead."

Get your skates on at the Eden Project
"Ice skating at the Eden Project is a great way to feel festive. The rink is in a beautiful setting amongst the biomes. As part of the winter festival you can also visit Father Christmas and do some Christmas shopping too!"
