Port Isaac

Tumble down narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed cottages, leading to a pretty harbour where brightly painted fishing boats bob with the tide. Port Isaac is rich in character and history, known to many as Port Wenn from Doc Martin and as the musical home of The Fisherman’s Friends. Our collection of Port Isaac holiday cottages ranges from characterful boltholes sleeping four, some with parking, to generous countryside retreats nearby, sleeping up to 14.

Spend slow mornings browsing independent shops and galleries before settling into one of the village’s much-loved cafés or pubs. Seafood takes centre stage, with celebrated chef Nathan Outlaw behind Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen and the Michelin-starred Outlaw’s New Road. Follow the coast path to neighbouring Port Gaverne, where a sheltered, stony cove makes an ideal launch point for sea kayaking, paddleboarding and coasteering, with calm waters that are well suited to wild swimming on gentler days. It’s a place for dipping in and out of the sea before wandering back along the cliffs as the harbour settles into evening calm.
