Snow arrives on the North Cornwall coast

It has been eight years since we were treated to a proper snow day in Cornwall, so we couldn't help but get a little excited.

For those who didn't get to experience the magical white dusting that settled across beaches, coast paths and rooftops, here are some of our favourite photos of our North Cornwall snow day.

Whatever our age, we all can't help but get a little giddy when the snow falls!

Snow across North Cornwall in pictures

The sand across Polzeath Beach, one of our favourite dog-friendly beaches in North Cornwall, was transformed to white and was enjoyed by a few lucky dog walkers.

Rooftops turned snowy, including one of our stunning cottages in Polzeath, Carn Mar, which sits right above the beach (pictured right).

With tranquil waters on a high tide, Rock was transformed into a magical winter wonderland (image on the left). It was the perfect day to be snuggled up inside one of our cosy cottages in Rock, such as picture-postcard Wheel Cottage (image on the right).

The Camel Estuary was laced in a delicate white sprinkling of snow on either side.

A thick covering of snow lined the footpath down to Porthilly Beach, with the Rock Sailing Club rising from the chilly waters in the distance (image on the left). While St Michael's Church above Porthilly Beach looked resplendent in white (image on the right).

After all the excitement, it was time to dust off our boots and head inside to warm up in front of the fire with a nice cup of tea!
