Meadowside is nestled within a quiet area of Rock, but conveniently close to the main road running through the village. From here you can enjoy a peaceful break close to the beaches, restaurants and local amenities.

When it comes to beautiful sandy beaches and calm bathing waters, you'll be spoilt for choice. It's just minutes to the secluded Porthilly Cove, while Rock Beach is a gentle stroll away and leads around to Daymer Bay and onto Polzeath. Alternatively hop in the car and be in the surf at Polzeath Beach in ten minutes.

Meadowside is perfectly positioned to enjoy the culinary delights of Rock, or those further afield in Padstow via the ferry. The Dining Room is just up the hill and offers a fine dining experience, while down the Rock Road you can discover Paul Ainsworth's pub The Mariners, The Upper Deck and Four Boys café. Across the water in Padstow are Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant and Paul Ainsworth's No. 6.

If you want to get out on the water, the Rock Sailing and Water Ski Club is just down the road and offers lessons; or you can take a sea safari from the pontoon and spot local wildlife. At Polzeath there are a variety of quality surf schools to choose from and great surf conditions. For those who enjoy a round of golf, the St Enodoc Golf Course is within easy walking distance of Meadowside.

Walk to the beach

Get the sand between your toes in only five minutes. Head out the door and take a left down Green Lane which will join the Rock Road. From here it's a gentle stroll down the Rock Road to Rock Beach or Porthilly Cove. Rock Beach leads around to the golden sands of Daymer Bay, meaning there are plenty of beaches, dunes and coastal paths to explore.
