Golfing

A round of golf is a great way to relax and soak in the local scenery at your own pace.

Our local area has a fantastic range of golf courses for different abilities, all offering incredible views of the coast or countryside. Several of our houses are within easy walking distance, giving you plenty of choice for golfing holidays in Cornwall.

St Enodoc Golf Club

Incorporating the sandy dunes of Rock, St Enodoc Golf Club looks out to the Camel Estuary and across the Atlantic. The club is ranked 99th in the world in 2014 by Golf Digest and 15th in England by Golf World, and has two courses to choose from. The Church Course is a James Braid design that will suit more experienced golfers, while the Holywell Course is a good choice for a laid-back round.

The Point at Polzeath

The Point at Polzeath is one of the best golf courses in Cornwall, winning the Cornwall Golf Mark Club of the Year in 2015. Set within 230 acres of parkland, the 18-hole course offers wonderful views over the Camel Estuary. If you’re just starting out, pro-led golf lessons are available for adults and juniors. There’s also a four-bay driving range and practice putting green for perfecting your shot.

Further afield

A few miles inland is the St Kew Golf Club, with its nine hole, eighteen-tee course designed by David Derry. Lanhydrock Golf Course lies in a sheltered valley near Bodmin and offers an enjoyable challenge to golfers of varying abilities, while the Trevose Golf Course and Country Club in Padstow includes three courses to cater for all standards.
