Here you can easily pop to the shops to pick up those holiday essentials or enjoy a relaxing walk down to the beach.

Start your day with a stroll down to the nearby Lewis's Deli to pick up fresh bread for breakfast or grab some treats from the famous Malcolm Barnecutt's bakery. For a family beach day take the footpath that winds down through the fields to the hidden beach at Porthilly Cove. At low tide this leads along to Rock Beach where you can explore the golden sand dunes and splash in the calm waters of the Camel Estuary.

For those who love to get out on the water, Rock Sailing Club and Camel Ski School are within easy reach of Skovva. You will be spoilt for choice with what to try first. Will it be wake-surfing, water-skiing, paddleboarding, sailing or even banana boating? You can also hop on the ferry to Padstow from Rock beach and explore the harbour lined with cafes and independent shops.

Foodies will be in heaven here. The Dining Room is within walking distance and offers an intimate dining experience. Further down the Rock Road, choose from The Mariners in partnership with Paul Ainsworth, The Upper Deck and Four Boys Café. For the best fish and chips in the local area, walk to Rock Fish and Chips, just minutes away.

Walk to the beach

Simply take a right which will take you along to the Rock Road. From here you can amble down to Porthilly Cove or Rock Beach in twenty-minutes. Alternatively, join the foot path via Shores Lane and Little Trelyn and stroll through fields to Porthilly.
