Description

Tucked down a pretty lane leading to Menefreda Church, this character cottage provides an atmospheric couples' escape for stolen weekends or the perfect setting for a family getaway. Retaining many original features, St Minver Cottage combines the old and the new with all those little luxuries to make for a relaxing holiday.

After a day of coastal adventures throw off coats and boots and sprawl out into the beautiful living space. Large sandstone tiles stretch out underfoot and whitewashed beams and calming interiors create the perfect atmosphere for rest and relaxation. Throw some logs on the statement cream wood burner and curl up in the window seat with a holiday novel and warm cuppa.

As evenings draw in, a modern kitchen complete with statement pastel blue AGA and striking navy cabinets provide everything you need to whip up a delicious holiday supper. Gather around the dining table which sits alongside and share tales of the year gone by. For those me time moments head upstairs to the cosy reading nook or slip into the bubbles in the delightfully indulgent bathtub belonging to the family bathroom.

As eyelids grow heavy, pad along the softly carpeted, spiral stairs where a steam-bent wooden Tom Raffield light plunges from above. Choose from three blissful bedrooms and enjoy a restful night's sleep amongst the crisp white linen. Spend winter evenings unfurled in the charming window seat belonging to the master bedroom and bedroom two and take in the views across the tree tops.

Outside, the melodic chime of Menefreda's church bells washes away the thoughts of the everyday and the dappled light dances through the leaves of mature palms. Enjoy picnics and barbecues in the multi-tiered garden perfectly encased by beds spilling with colourful blooms. In summer, beautifully scented roses hug the cottage walls and dancing fuchsias come alive with colour.
