Licensed wedding venues on the North Cornish coast

From tipis alongside glittering rivers to churches beside sandy shores, the North Cornish coast is a dream setting for a fairy-tale wedding. If you are looking for a wedding venue, here is our handy guide to licensed venues all within easy reach of our self-catering properties.

St Michael's Church, Porthilly, Rock

This small but perfectly formed church is steeped in history and enjoys the most picturesque of settings alongside the sands of Porthilly Cove. Pair this with a marquee reception in the neighbouring field beside the estuary and you have all you need to host a Cornish coastal wedding. The field is available to let through Porthilly Farm for a limited number of days per year.

Cornish Tipi Weddings, St Kew

How does a wildly romantic outdoor wedding in a secret valley sound? Boho brides will love the pavilion beside the clear brook and under a canopy of oak and ash. With sixteen acres of woodland and meadows, this venue lends itself particularly well to a festival theme. The bride and groom can steal precious moments together on the lake in the pretty rowing boat - a fantastic photo opportunity.

St Enodoc Church, Daymer Bay

Once buried by sand, the enhanting church of St Enodoc is nestled amongst the rolling green fairways of the St Enodoc Golf Course. From the church you can enjoy breathtaking views of Daymer Bay and the estuary as it meets the sea. The beautifully historic church has an endearingly crooked spire and is the resting place of the famous Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman.

Trewornan Manor, near Wadebridge

This exclusive wedding venue sits amongst twenty five acres of romantic Cornish countryside. Trewornan Manor is a listed building and dates all the way back to 1211. Choose from an outdoor wedding under the mature trees or smaller ceremony in the main house. The most photogenic of venues, Trewornan Manor promises for a truly spellbinding day to rival all fairy-tale weddings.

St Minver Church, Rock

The tall spire of St Minver Church is a welcoming local landmark and the church is nestled within the pretty village of St Minver. Perfect for larger weddings, the church is particularly spacious and provides a beautiful setting for a Cornish country wedding.

St Endellion Church near Port Isaac

Surrounded by fields and just a mile from the sea, St Endellion Church is a popular church for weddings with its beautiful and spacious interiors. A magical sprinkling of delicate cherry blossoms appear in the churchyard during the spring. Home to an annual music festival, the church has particularly good acoustics should you wish to have music as a part of your ceremony.

The Waterfront, Polzeath

For a laid-back, beachy wedding where better than The Waterfront right next to Polzeath beach? Choose from the The Conservatory at The Waterfront Bar & Restaurant and for more informal ceremonies The Sandbar. Enjoy spending time on the outside heated terrace taking in the picturesque views across the beach and out to Pentire headland.

St James' Church, St Kew

The picture postcard village of St Kew provides a beautifully authentic setting for a Cornish wedding. This medieval church has a particularly spectacular stained glass window forming a wonderful backdrop for wedding photos. Hire a classic car and enjoy the journey through leafy country lanes to and from the church.

Old School House, Port Isaac

The Old School House occupies a dramatic clifftop location above Port Isaac harbour. With its cobbled streets and whitewashed cottages, Port Isaac is a magical setting for a wedding beside the sea. Choose from exclusive hire of the hotel or a small private ceremony. This grade II listed building was previously used as a setting for the school in Doc Martin; sure to be a talking point at the wedding.
