Bursting with history and romance, this woodland-hideaway is nestled on the fringes of the area's most beautiful private estate that lies between the market town of Wadebridge and the estuary village of Rock.

The Gate House is nestled on the fringes of the historic private estate of Dinham, between Wadebridge and Rock.

Enjoy a magical escape in the heart of the Cornish countryside, while based only moments from the bustle of Wadebridge, Rock and Polzeath. Positioned conveniently alongside the road that runs from Wadebridge towards the coast, you can explore the best of North Cornwall, coming and going with ease.

Enjoy evening strolls along the two-mile-long, leafy driveway that leads towards the main house. Here you can take in the views of the Camel Estuary and be one of the few to experience the breathtaking Dinham estate. In spring, take in the colourful blooms that line the path and in autumn admire the golden colour palette of the trees lining the driveway.

Hop in the car and enjoy the five-minute scenic drive to the world-class holiday destination of Rock. Spend a beach day on the golden sands, explore the dunes and bathe in the calm waters. Get on the water with a sailing or water-skiing lesson or head out on a sea safari to spot local sea life. Alternatively, catch the ferry across to Padstow, where you can explore the harbour and sample Rick Stein’s famous fish and chips.

If you enjoy the waves, Polzeath is just a five to ten-minute drive away. Here you can hire wetsuits and boards and improve your technique with a lesson from one of the many high-quality surf schools based on the beach. In between Polzeath and Rock, discover the family beach of Daymer Bay and explore Brea Hill and the picturesque St Enodoc Church.

From The Gate House, you’re also within easy reach of the vibrant estuary town of Wadebridge. For a relaxed day out, browse the range of fantastic independent shops, catch a film or hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail. Here, you are also within easy reach of an array of Cornish country pubs. The St Kew Inn is well worth a visit for a family lunch in the beer garden or a cosy supper beside the fire.
