Nestled down a tranquil lane, Gwel an Mor is just minutes from the sand. Here you can avoid the hustle and bustle of central Polzeath and leave the car keys at home as all the area has to offer is right on your doorstep.

Enjoy family beach days, explore miles of scenic coastal paths and make the most of the fantastic surf conditions. You can hire everything you need from the fantastic surf schools right on the beach.

For evenings out, the bars and restaurants are all within easy reach. Walk down to The Waterfront or The Cracking Crab for dinner with a view. Head onto the beach for some delicious cocktails at the Rum Bar at Surfside and catch some live music.

Rock is only a short drive away from Gwel an Mor. Here you can explore the beautiful beach, learn to sail or hop on the ferry across to Padstow. Rock has some fantastic restaurants too including The Dining Room, The Mariners and The Rock Inn.

Walk to the beach

Head out of Gwel an Mor and along the quiet track to the right. This will lead you down the hill and out onto the road that runs down into Polzeath and along to the beach. From doorstep to sand takes less than five minutes.

We loved everything! Wonderful accommodation overlooking the sea, we were able to walk to shops and all the eateries close by.
